Finnish train socks interpreted by Maja Baer (IG: baermaja). The design goes back to the legendary Finn Kerttu Latvala. Fleeing the war in 1940, a handicraft teacher knitted socks like these for Kerttu’s two-month-old baby, Tuula.

The measurements given are designed for babies up to around 12 months. The pattern is suited to knitters of beginner to intermediate level.

The yarn (1 ball of SUPERIOR cashmere in the colour of your choice) is ordered separately.
