Our Values

Knowing what we do and which values we live by

Two children in warm clothing against the Kyrgyz mountains

Social

We aim for long-term relationships with our farmers and try to guarantee the purchase of minimum quantities each year. We pay them a proper and fair price, supporting them directly and for the long term in their traditional way of life.

Ecological

We actively support livestock keeping that is ecologically sustainable and guarantees species-appropriate animal husbandry. Our financial commitment aims at improvements in pasture management, in access to veterinary supplies and in animal welfare.

Fair

We want to invest where the fibres originate – financially and in people. Wherever possible, we aim for complete processing and value creation on the ground in Kyrgyzstan.

Transparent

We want to build a bridge from the animals and the farmers to the customer, creating a direct relationship. Our yarns are traceable from animal to finished product, fairly traded, of high quality, ecologically sound and still affordable.

Questioning

We keep moving and question existing structures. Our transparency allows our customers to form their own picture of what we do – and to question it just as critically.

Credible

We are working towards independent certification – to the criteria of organic livestock farming and the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) – covering the entire processing and supply chain from animal to yarn, and meeting the highest environmental and social standards.
